Not to sound cliche or anything, but Christ is the reason for the Season. I never wish people a 'Happy Holidays.' I always wish people to have a Merry Christmas. I don't care about being 'politically correct.' In my mind, I am being politically correct. Without Christ, there would be no Christmas.
I wish the best for all you, my friends and my family. I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas. I love Christmas Eve and the peaceful feelings that overwhelm my heart each year at this time. Please remember what this season is all about, any why we even have this holiday, and don't ever let that waiver. I would like to leave you with the words to a beautiful Christmas song, one of my favorites.
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night, O night divine!
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here come the wise men of Orient land,
The King of kings lay in a lowly manger;
In all our trials born to be our friends.
He knows our needs, to our weakness He’s no stranger,
Behold your King, your King, before Him bend!
Surely He taught us to love one another,
His law is love and His gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother,
And in His name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.
Christ is the Lord! O praise His name forever!
His power and glory ever more proclaim!
